Captain/pilot of Hawaiian Airlines Flight 22 (Honolulu to SEATAC) at 25,000' altitude observed a bright white light approximately 10 degrees to the right of Dubhe in Ursa Major. The light quickly faded from bright white to red. Witness, a knowledgeable amateur astronomer, considered but doubted an astronomical explanation. He brought it to the attention of his co-pilot, who also observed it just before it faded from view. The object appeared to be hovering.
